Pinned topic SVC Number I/O's

‏2013-02-16T13:35:54Z |
In a link to SVC Infocenter there is stated:
Note: Each node can have 10,000 concurrent I/Os
How do I have to read this?
  • Maximum I/O's for 1 I/O group = 20.000?
  • What kind of I/O's, also included internode I/O's?

TIA, Tmasteen

Yes. Each SVC node provides for 10000 concurrent SCSI commands, distributed across all hosts and all volumes.
This is implied from the host queue depth calculation in the information center.

This number is for host I/O only.

Just to be clear here: That is not IOPS, just concurrent I/Os...
