Pinned topic Mount on AIX 5.3 Windows 2008 Server R2 Shared Folder

Hello,

I am new to AIX and having problem in mounting Windows 2008 Server R2 folder on AIX 5.3. I have tried following commands for mounting but not fruitful.

mount -v cifs -n 10.128.2.14/Backup/Tight830 /UploadedFiles /mnt

Kindly guide me how to do this and is there any per-requsite for that on both end I am on AIX side and Windows side.

Please help me to solve this problem if any one guide me step by step.

    Hi ,

    You need to enable NFS on windows server,you can do it from windows default services,
    and try this command :

    mount -o rw,timeo=600,hard,wsize=32768,vers=3,rsize=32768,tcp windows_server_ip:/shared_folder /aix_folder
