Pinned topic Conditional Expression across MBOs

‏2013-02-14T19:49:20Z |
I need to apply a condition such that if a company record meets certain criteria, only members of specific security groups are qualified for access to those records, and any records that refer to them (PR,PO,Invoice,Matrec,Servrec...).

More simply, if companies.myAttribute = 'RESTRICTED', only the accounting department can see the Company, PR, PO, Contract, MR, SR records for that company.

I can write the condition, but I find I need to write a condition and an object restriction for each MBO.

Is there a way to have a single condition and restriction that applies to all the MBOs that reference an object?

Thanks, Brian

No, restrictions can be only be enforced app-based or objectbased (more powerful).

I'd suggest you adding a flag ("myattr") to each object you need to filter, have this filter be crossed over when a reference to a company is establised or set, and have that condition me thus "myattr='RESTRICTED'".

    That'll work, Thanks!
