I am trying to work on self-registration application for Lotus Connections. It should create the user account in LDAP and the Profiles for managing their profile in Connections. So a user should go to a registration screen, enter mandatory details and sign-up, the app should create the LDAP account and generate a profile.
The requirement is to run this application only on the WAS console or on the Connections server. I understand WebSphere Member Manager API could be used as an option to authenticate a user via LDAP(https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/wikis/home?lang=en#/wiki/Virtual%20Member%20Manager/page/Sample%20virtual%20member%20manager%20plug-in%20for%20WebSphere%20Application%20Server%20Version%206.1%20and%20above). Another option could be use some JNDI code to authenticate via LDAP. Could some one suggest an approach please.
Thanks for your time!
