have gotten some new Harddisks, same Product as ones already installed, 300GB FC.
Now ,the new disks only show up in the first second (Device unknown,..) then they vanish in the StorageManager.
I cna check Error.Log, and find some things like:
Event type: 1012
Description: Destination driver error
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Event category: Error
Component type: Drive
Component location: Enclosure 1, Slot 3
Logged by: Controller in slot B
System is quite new firmware: 06.60.34.00, all HDD firmwares from Harddisk "shown" are newest, exp810 ESM is 98D6 as it should be for 06.xx
Any advice, how can I try to activate the harddisks?
Thanks in advance,

Re: DS4300 - Harddisks do not show2013-02-21T08:03:58Z in response to Novikov_AlexanderHello,
I have found the following labes on the harddisks:
Option 39M4594 Feature 5223
in the Software - Harddisk firmware update, these disks appear as HUS103030FLF21 (JFQ8) - only the working one's ;-)
And these are identical for working harddisks and for those that do not show up.
Seems the production date is slightly different, Jun07 working, dec07 most of the "not working"
Re: DS4300 - Harddisks do not show2013-03-04T15:19:13Z in response to SystemAdminHello,
haven't heard any things to test, I checked myself:
Starting "everything normal - GREEN" I put in one of the harddisks, after a while, recovery guru says:
"Degraded Drive Channel
What Caused the Problem?
A drive channel status was set to Degraded because of excessive I/O errors or because a technical support representative advised the array's administrator to manually set the drive channel status for diagnostic or other support reasons. It is important to correct this failure as soon as possible. The drives are still operational, but a level of path redundancy has been lost. If the other channel to the drives fails, then the drives themselves could be failed. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps."
Does this help to find out what is wrong?
Thanks in Advance
