I am just looking for some information here.
We currently have reports built from Cognos 10.0.1. We have since gone up to 10.1 and from these 2 releases I believe that the reports are not backward compatible.
Can anyone tell me - when we upgrade to Cognos 10.2 32 bit - will the reports built under 10.0.1 work on 10.2
If the model was updated on 10.1 or 10.0.1 and we wanted to update existing reports - does the model need to be rebuilt in 10.2 ?
Thanks in advance

Re: upgrading to Cognos 10.22013-02-13T13:27:28Z in response to SystemAdmin10.1 and 10.1.1 reports can be upgraded to 10.2. Once they are in the 10.2 schema, you will not be able to back port them into a 10.1 and 10.1.1 envrionment.
The content upgrade are usually done through either a deployment or pointing the 10.2 install to the 10.1/10.1.1 content store. (Obviosuly after everything is backed up or copied.)
This process will upgrade the contents of the deployment or content store.
The FM models will go through and upgrade process the first time they are openend in the 10.2 version of Framework Manager.
