I have a sample text file which consists of name and description columns. I have created views for name and description using dict files. Now I want to create view for description using regular expression.
Description: The client requests for document attesting the card no 1234567898 and ph no as 123-789965 on 11/12/2008.
I need regular expression for these type of descriptions.
So Could anyone tell me the general regular expression for description.

Re: Regular Expression For Description2013-02-13T16:27:43Z in response to SystemAdminHi,
Unless there's some pattern to the text of the descriptions I'm not sure a regular expression will work, so you probably need a higher level pattern, perhaps based on the structure of the input for example, you could use the split function to split the input at the beginning of each name, then use the right context function to extract the text that follows each name? Or perhaps the description fields are bounded by separators, so you could code a regular expression that keys off the separators to find the bounded text in the right context of each name?
I do some stuff like this in the videos you can find in the Learning Text Analytics playlist series on our YouTube channel - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7FnN5oi7Ez_KjX7zYhBc8GiK-HoNmqrJ
