In z/VM we define a minidisk for linux guests disk. Using SMAPI TPM gets the definitions for the guest from z/VM. One of the definitions for this guest is
MDISK 0202 3390 1 END LNX030 MW READ WRITE MULTI
This means the minidisk address is 0200, it is on a 3390 disk(CKD) it begins on cylinder 1 and goes to the END of the disk. The problem for TPM is not knowing how big the disk is calculate where the END is.
So I changed the statement to
MDISK 0202 3390 1 10016 LNX030 MW READ WRITE MULTI
Showing 10016 cylinders and the workflow worked perfectly.
