Pinned topic Performance Monitoring for Windows Server 2012

‏2013-02-12T13:07:24Z |
Hi Team,

One of my client has implemented the Windows Server 2012 Standard. I am trying to install the ITM OS Agent 6.22.02.00. But it failed every time, No error message.

I checked the link on IBM Support http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24033864 but not useful because of unable to install base package 6.22.02.00 installed. Has anyone done the monitoring for Win 2012.

Sorry for my misunderstanding of your question. The TechNote that you reference above states "A fresh local install, requires patching a copy of the IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2.2 Fix Pack 2 Agent install image from Passport Advantage."

    1. This patch (6.2.2-TIV-ITM_IN-WIN2012) is applied to your Agent CD to support installation on Windows
    2012 Server.
    2. Be sure to apply this patch to a writeable copy of your Agent CD install
    media
    3. Once you've patched an Agent install image, you can use that patched image
to do local installs and to populate or repopulate your DEPOT using tacmd
    addbundles.
    4. Once the DEPOT's been populated/repopulated from the patched install image
the agent components can be deployed to the endpoints.
    5. Be sure to apply any additional maintenance required by the Agent to support
    Windows Server 2012.

Please note that Windows Server 2012 will be officially supported in 6.2.3 Fix Pack 3 and higher.

"officially supported in 6.2.3 Fix Pack 3 and higher"

Does that mean that remote deploy of any other agent like LFA for example is not supported to win 2012? Remote deploy works for NT agents with patched Agent install image in DEPOT only?
