Pinned topic Throttler forced system reload due to Low Memory

‏2013-02-11T15:16:41Z |
Hi all,

Found the DataPower appliance got reloaded when the memory is used up by 100% in system usage.

A simple question. How can I set it to reload automatically if the memory is meeting a certain level, let say 80%. Thanks.

Regards,
Thomas

You can configure "Event Triggers" for a "Objects->Logging Configuration->Log Target".
Based on a regular expression match condition you can execute a CLI command.
You just need to identify the Thottler event code you are interested in.

    Hi Hermann,

Can I have some example since it is really an advanced topic to me? Thanks.

    Hi,

Found an example in info center.

    Creating an error report

This scenario creates an error report when a discrete service encounters a problem. The service is identified by its class or name in the regular expression field. Table 3 lists the configuration for this event trigger.

Table 3. Settings to create an error report
    Property Value
    Message ID 0x80400036
    Regular Expression throttle
    Only Once off
    Only this Trigger on
    CLI command save error-report

How can I find out all the "Regular Expression" and the CLI command? Any redbooks introducing these? Thanks.

    Regards,
    Thomas

there is good and bad news.

You can find all Event Codes with prefix different to "0x8..." under "Administration->Debug->View List of Event Codes".

But there is no such list for event codes of the form "0x8...", you need to add them whenever you see them appear in the logs.
