Pinned topic WAS Migration from 6.0 to 8.0

‏2013-02-11T10:22:41Z |
Hi All,

I am migrating from WAS 6.0 to 8.0 using Migration Tool kit 3.5.0.

Issue:
In the migration rule set i can see only step by step migration
i.e from 6.0 to 7.0 and then from 7.0 to 8.0.

My Question:
Should i have to first run and fill all the issues from 6.0 to 7.0
and then again i have to run and fix 7.0 to 8.0.
or Is there any direct way to migrate from 6.0 to 8.0?.

Thanks,
DK.

    Hi,
You can run all the rules at once.

On the configuration dialog, choose "WebSphere Application Server Version Migration" from the Rule Sets drop down list and press Set.... In the Rule set configuration dialog, set the source application server to WAS 6.0 and the target application server to WAS 8.0. Press OK. All the correct rules will then be selected.
