Pinned topic ISA 5 Beta 2 Tools List Empty

‏2013-02-08T13:06:20Z |
I installed ISA5B2 and selected all packages to be included in the install. I've confirmed this via the Installation Manager 'View Installed Packages'. However, when I go to the Tools tab, no tools are present. Has anyone else come across this issue and was able to resolve? Please let me know if you have any questions from me. Thanks in advance for all help!

    Hello Mitch,

I haven't seen this problem. If you have the problem determination tools installed then they should be listed on the Tools tab. Could you try some things and answer some questions to help me better understand the problem?

    Some questions:
    1. What OS is hosting the ISA 5 server?
    2. What browser, including version, are you using to open a session with ISA?
    3. Is the browser running on the same system where ISA 5 is installed?

Would you try these steps to see if the problem determination tools are available through the Files context menu? These instructions assume that you have installed the "Garbage Collection and Memory Visualizer (GCMV) Report" and "Pattern Modeling and Analysis Tool (PMAT)" tools.
    1. Select the Files tab.
    2. Load the Example Case. The folder hierarchy for the case should load in the Navigator column and the list of files and folders at the root of the case should be displayed to the right of the Navigator.
    3. Right-click on the file named native_stderr.log. The Files context menu opens.
    4. Move your mouse over the "Problem Analysis" choice in the context menu. A sub-menu should open with 3 items:

    * Garbage Collection and Memory Visualizer (GCMV) Report
    * Pattern Modeling and Analysis Tool (PMAT)
    * Other...

    5. Select "Other...". A window should open showing the complete list of PD tools that you have installed.

Do you see the tools listed in steps 4 and 5? If not, open a command window/shell and navigate to <ISA_install_root>/ToolBox. If you have all tools installed then the directory listing should like like the attached image named ISA5_toolbox_contents.jpg. If you don't have all tools installed then you should see a subset of that list. Let me know what's in the ToolBox directory on your system.

This information will give me some ideas about what the problem might be. If this isn't enough to solve the problem then I may need to ask some more questions and request some logs.

    Regards,
    Russell
