Pinned topic How to hide the subtotal

‏2013-02-07T21:13:59Z |
Hi all,
Cognos 10.1.1, Sql server 2012, Relational model , report studio.

I have created a sample report where I need to hide the subtotal as attached on this post.

I have to hide the subtotal where if the report has one row.

First column is element 1 and the second column is element 2.
So I group on element 1 column to get the subtotal based on the element 1 only.
Now I need to hide the subtotal if the element 1 is only 1 row.

someone please help me to solve this issue.

Thanks,
Winson.

Assuming you are using a relational package you can do a calculation to get the running-count for your high level grouping.

    maximum(running-count([OrderMethod])

You can then do an advanced conditional style where this calc=1 then have a box type of none.

Be sure to add the calc to the properties property of the List otherwise you will get the CRX error.

I have tested the above and it works.

Actually did not work since I have element 1 & element 2 subtotal (like similar to order number) since I have 2 columns controlling the subtotal it is not working.
if you take a look at the sample report which i have it on this link

Yes this is relational model and list report.

the solution which you provide it should work if I have just one column.

    Thanks,

I will see if I can find my sample spec for this and actually post it. Now that the forum allows attachments again. It won't be until tomorrow though.
