Pinned topic Can't federate more than 5000 documents

‏2013-02-06T01:06:10Z |
In my environment ,I just can't federate maximum 5000 documents, even though I change different target folder,it still doesn't work. I checked db tablespace, no problem. Are there any limit configuration for federation?

The is no limit imposed by CFS on the number of documents that can be federated. Can you describe what happens when you try to federated more then 5000? Is there an error of some kind? Are you certain that your rules will select more than 5000 documents? Also, could you provide the following information about your system:

    1. CE version and patch level
    2. CFS version and patch level
    3. Content Integrator version and patch level
    4. Source repository type

Also, for future reference, this question pertains more to CFS for Content Integrator rather than CI itself. Although I am not aware of a specific forum for CFS related matters, there is a forum available for FileNet Content Manager that would probably be more appropriate for question related to CFS because it is more likely to be noticed by someone with the right expertise.

Yeah, got it,I will put into CE forum next time, thanks!

You know I set 10000 documents in a rule, but just 5000 documents have been federated. I tried a few times with same result.Note:I am doing failover testing base on oracle RAC(for faderation db), so I will stop one node during federation, there will be some db connection errors ,no other information I can check for the limitation issue.

      1. CE version and patch level : CE5.0 FP2
      2. CFS version and patch level : CFS5.1
      3. Content Integrator version and patch level : ICI8.6
      4. Source repository type : P85.0 FP2(Same server with target repository, and different ObjectStore)

Side note -- CFS 5.0 is not supported with CE 5.1 -- Both products should be at the 5.1 level.

    In CFS Admin,

    (1) When you run the query for the rule, how many items are found?

    (2) Is the rule set to run until it completes?

    (3) Are any errors reported?

Actually my CFS is 5.1 and CE is 5.0 FP2.
I am afraid that I got answer from you question. I just check the query result of the rule is 5000 rather than expected 10000. So another question is how I can federate more than 5000 documents?
