Pinned topic Imported Partition

‏2013-02-05T14:52:56Z |
Hi,

I have an imported partition and it says it's partitioned in with RCA access. I can't do anything with this folder and the modules in it, I look up in the project where that imported partition is located but there is no imported or exported partitions. How can I delete this folder? I tried as an Administrator but there is no way to delete it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Madelin

    Wild guess: convert that folder to a Project and see if you can then deal with it. Be sure to turn it back into a Folder when done.

        Hi Madelin,
        I had what seems to be the same problem back in December. Working with an IBM tech, he told me to run the following code in each of the modules inside the folder that I wanted to delete.
        ========================================
        Module m = current Module
        print setPartitionMask_(m, 0x10000000)
        ========================================
        This was to enable deletion of the modules. After running this in each I was then to delete all the modules inside the folder and then I would be able to delete the folder.

        But before he got this solution to me, I had already deleted the modules in the folder (found that not to be a problem) to see if that might allow me to then delete the folder. I still could not delete the folder.

        So then he gave me different DXL to run with the folder that I wanted to delete selected in the left pane of the DOORS Explorer. Here's that code.
        ========================================
        Folder f = current Folder
        print setPartitionMask_(f, 0x10000000)
        ========================================
        After running this, I was then able to delete the folder.

        To make sure I had all the permissions that I would need, he had me sign in as Administrator.

        I hope this works for you.

        Doug
