Pinned topic Allowing dots and brackets in Names (General.Model.NamesRegExp)

‏2013-02-01T14:03:06Z |
Hi all.
I'm trying to modify General.Model.NamesRegExp to allow dot and brackets ('.', '') to be used in names.

It does work for ''.

I mean. If I try this, it allows using '[' in names
^((a-zA-Z_a-zA-Z0-9_[*)|(operator.+))$

But if i just try to do the same for closing brackets, it doesn't allow.
^((a-zA-Z_a-zA-Z0-9_]*)|(operator.+))$

The same happens with dots ('.')
^((a-zA-Z_http://a-zA-Z0-9_\.*)|(operator.+))$

Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks

Oskar

    Better writen:

    Hi all.
I'm trying to modify General.Model.NamesRegExp to allow dot and brackets ('.', '[', ']') to be used in names.

It does work for openning brackets ('[').

I mean: If I try this, it allows using '[' in names
    ^(([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9\[_]*)|(operator.+))$

But if i just try to do the same for closing brackets, it doesn't allow.
    ^(([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9\]_]*)|(operator.+))$

The same happens with dots ('.')
    ^(([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9\._]*)|(operator.+))$

    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Thanks
