I am using XML Firewall, setting up as Static backend. When the client send the message, the request is making to DataPower from the client, but it is failing as the static backend is invalid, but what i don’t understand is even though request is getting into DataPower, I don’t see any transactions captured by show probe.
Technically speaking even though the static backend is invalid, as the traffic is reaching the device Show Probe should log the transactions coming inside. Any idea what could be the reason for Show Probe not capturing the data.
XML Firewall --> Invalid Static backend (not seeing any data in Show Probe)
If I do the same scenario using Mpeg with https as front side handler, Show Probe is capturing the data.
Mpeg --> Https handler --> Invalid Static backend (show Probe capturing the transactions)

Re: Datapower Show probe not capturing any transcations2013-02-01T11:48:11ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer. If you look into the logs at Information level you see the difference:
- XML FW first tries to connect to the backend, and in case that is not possible, does not even start rule processing
- MPGW does request rule processing and then tries to connect to backend.
If you want the Probe just move your service from XML FW to MPGW.
