Pinned topic Date Custom Format

‏2013-01-30T20:23:36Z |
I have a date variable (with date selector) and I would like to custom format the date in the presentation property to display something like:
2012-11-30 15:45:01.437968

Any ideas to how?

Thanks,
Sami

If this is 8.0 or above, I can't help you.

In 7.5, the date format used is determined by your language, if you are binding to a Date variable. You can change that in the resources in the portal app (I think) but that would change it for every UI in the system.

If you only need it altered for a few UIs, in 7.5.1 when you use a date widget, but bind it to a String variable, you have the option of indicating what format to use for the date. This format will be used no matter what the user's language. Parsing into/out of the actual date value will require you to use the parse/format calls on the date variable.

The WLE version that we are using is v7.5.1.
Your suggestion of "parse/format calls on the date variable" would work.

    Thank you,
