Pinned topic Diagnostic cdrom missing scraidmgr

‏2013-01-25T00:19:34Z |
I have been trying to configure a 4 port pci raid controller from the diagnostic cdrom but it fails to
find scraidmgr.

I've tried the latest and older versions with the same error.

Booting an installed AIX in Diagnostic mode does work, but it is missing the vital ingrediaent of allowing
the disks to be removed as HotSwap spares, so they cannot be allocated to an array.

It seems simple tasks are made very complicated.

The task is to clean up a dev system (with LPAR) that has become cluttered with broken arrays and failed disks,
but it looks like it requires a running AIX to do this.

Is there a better way ?
