Pinned topic Log user activity

‏2013-01-22T16:51:35Z |
Hi,

We have a requirement to know, which user changed status of Object?
Enabled/disabled/deleted etc.

From mgmt log category, I can check, whether the state was changed but I am interested to know WHO did that.

I subscribed to MGMT log category and logging debuglevel details(priority=debug).
Audit log also does not give required information.

Any help/pointers are much appreciated.

Regards,
Vishnu.

I created custom log Target with event subscription for 'auth' and 'cli' events.

With cli set to debug, I am able to get the user name.

Here is what I did - just in case, anyone is interested.
    ++++
    1. Create a custom Log Target
    2. Subscribe to 'Audit' log category with priority = Debug -> This is not mandatory, but I have this setting.
    3. Subscribe to 'cli' log category with priority = Debug -> This will give required information
    example -
    20130122T170947Z clidebug : tid(42240): (vishnu.pandit:default:web-gui:1x.1x.x.1x): admin-state disabled

I am not using any SOMA script.
My requirement was to log the user activity and that is partially achieved.

What is your requirement, by the way?
Well, coming back to user activity log -
After enabling 'audit' log I am able to see, if some user added OR deleted file from DP.
But, updates made by user to a file are NOT visible in the logs. Any idea how to get that??

    Regards,
    Vishnu.
