Pinned topic How to Implement read only and combo box in eClient

‏2013-01-22T12:45:00Z |
Hi,

I need to
1) Implement a combo box for specific attributes
2) Make selected attributes read only
while importing an item from eClient.
I have read the ibm redbook, It seems quite fuzzy.
Please share your knowledge guys, its urgent.

Thanks and Regards,
Ruhina

The eClient will display a combo box if you define a foreign key on that attribute and select the 'Show target data as dropdown in client'.

If an attribute is read only, how would it ever be created? Don't know how to implement that one.

You may want to look at the IBM Content Navigator which is the next generation client (basically the eClient and WEBi replacement) Using the External Data Services (EDS) that is part of Navigator you can do what you are describing http://public.dhe.ibm.com/common/ssi/ecm/en/zzs03115usen/ZZS03115USEN.PDF

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing...The combo box works with foreign key on that attribute...

    For read only,
    The requirement goes as follows:

While importing a Claims item, the user enters the claim no...

the filename attribute populates as claimNo_timestamp and is read only..
Please suggest a solution for this

    Thanks and Regards,
