When I insert a test object into my script, many of these files are created under "project"\resources\visuals\vp folder. Creation takes some time, which slows me down.
Do you know what these files are and how I can get rid of them?

To avoid this, switch to Java Scripting (as opposed to Simplified Scripting). You'll see huge benefits in quite a few scenarios by doing so.
If you have existing scripts with the Simplified Scripting component and you want to remove it, see 1405134: Remove Simplified Scripting from scripts in IBM Rational Functional Tester.

I'm already using Java scripting.
The files are generated in another project too, whereas they are not generated in another test machine. I'm using ClearCase integration and trying with the same project!
So this seems to be related with a workspace setting..
