Pinned topic The use of fingerprint to logon through ENGINA is taking too long

‏2013-01-22T01:58:57Z |
I'm using Digital Persona fingerprint reader to log on on Windows through ENGINA with ISAMESSO 8.2 and if the user doesn't have connection to IMS Server, the log on process is taking too long. I've set it up fast logon using cached wallet without authenticating with IMS™ Server (pid_fast_logon_enabled = yes and pid_background_auth_enabled = 0) and the "fast" logon not work as fast as the customer expected. It seems to be validated the fingerprint to IMS Server. Some help it would be great. Thanks in advance.

    Hi ,

Perhaps a PMR and enable the debug log of the fingerprint device and AA log level 3 to both supports .. BIOKEY and IBM for better answer .

We also have another performance issue with hamster secugen in windows 7 and working with BIOKEY also on this matter.

It's nothing to do with policy so fast we noticed.

Can you help to clarify please. When you say it's taking a long time to login if the user does not have a connection to the IMS, how long is it taking? Does the same problem happen if you do not use fingerprint (just username and password)?

How long does it take when the IMS is available? Note that there is a SOAP timeout value that can be configured. I believe that it will wait for a response from the IMS until this SOAP timeout is reached.

Thanks Ben. Let's keep tracking it via the PMR since Sey is helping to arrange a call with development.
