Pinned topic Unable to Open Connection to Database

I am trying to load data from Excel sheet by ODBC,I have selected the excel sheet and defined the name in the name manager,and created the ODBC Connection,but when i am selecting the defined ODBC connection and the name defined in the name manager it is giving me error "Unable to Open Connection to Database".How to resolve this ,please help.Thanks

    Hi barrysab,

    Most likely, this will be because of a 32 bit / 64 bit issue i.e. you have configured a 32 bit ODBC connection whereas TM1 is expecting a 64 bit connection.

    Check that your Excel ODBC drivers are 64 bit, a search of the Microsoft support site can help with this.

    Thanks Rod,I have resolved it,i wasn't assigning my excel sheet in workbook.
