You an use the data migration utility that is part of RD&T to move data from a System z to and RD&T.

First you must start the migrater server program on z/OS
    • START MIGRATER
Next, start the client program on linux
    • hckd2ckd 192.168.2.211:3990 /z/SYSCFG –v SYSCFG

This should pull down the volumne from the host to the RD&T machine.

    Hello,

how handy this process of copying volume is for creating clones of real Z/OS systems for testing purposes ? How long does it take to copy for example 10TB of data ?

Also does this support volume-to-volume, pool-to-pool or similar mirroring ?

What about data consistency ? Guess migrater server handle this ? Does the migrater generate overhead on z/OS side ?

Where can I find more information about those things ?

    Regards,

    Nenad
