Pinned topic In WTX, how do i concatenate date and time

‏2013-01-21T12:13:30Z |
Hi,

This is my requirement,

I have two input items, one is date and other is time. Both are defined as text items. My Output item is of datetime format , {CCYY-MM-DD}T{HH24:MM:SShttp://.0-6+/-ZZ:ZZ}.

i need to know how do i concatenate my both input items to achieve the output item in its datetime format?

i have been trying with todatetime, fromdatetime, texttodate functions combinations so far. but havent found the result yet. Can anyone help me through this?

Did u try with the + sign to concatenate date and time fields and use the todatetime function after that? While using the todatetime function , give the second parameter i.e of the date time string format according to ur date and time fields. Hopefully this works.

    Hi Muks,

I tried this, and it worked. i had been trying this earlier too but somehow missed something somewhere. probably i missed to combine (date + time) as one within braces.

    =TODATETIME( (DATE + TIME), "{CCYYMMDDHH24MMSS}" )

    Thanks for your suggestion. :)

    regards,
