Pinned topic Creating related SR

‏2013-01-19T06:15:00Z |
We a created some related Service requests as below(in maximo 6.2.8)

Service request (SR application) ->select action menu ->Create->Service request

Unfortunately the newly created record cannot be accessed through the application. Looking at the database tables it appears the request type field is not being populated in newly created record, Because of this the record can’t be viewable.
What is the work around to make this field populated in the related SR.?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks.......

    Hello,

I'm using 7.1 but it might be similar with your version. Have you try using the related record tab and pick the Service Request number or Work Order number from there? This should work normally.

    Hi MrOat,

We are able to pick the service request or work order from the related records tab that's not an issue.

In Service request app we have created related sr from selection menu->create->sr a new sr(ex 23123) has been creating but when we are searching for the record 23123 from list tab it gives zero results..

Now the issue resolved by adding SERVICE REQUEST as a default value to the SR.REQUESTTYPE attribute.
    Thanks.......
