Pinned topic Field type selection for input and query

‏2013-01-18T21:22:05Z |
All,

Focal Point 6.5.2.1

I have a customer that has a excel sheet that I am converting to Focal Point. They have a field that they have:

A
B
C
All
A,B
A,C
B,C

I can go with choice with these items or multi-choice. My question is...are there any "gotchas" associated with multi-choice? I wanted to find all of the items where "A" is involved, would both choice and multi-choice give me this?

I ask b/c, if I remember correctly, in ClearQuest, if you had a multi-choice, you could not do a query.

You have full querying capabilities on multichoice attributes. You can, for example, define view rules such as "contains A" which will include elements that has the value A or A, B or A, C or A, B, C.
