Pinned topic Search rules in marketing tool

Hey Guys,

I have tried creating search rule in marketing tool to redefine my search results. I used Specify Top Search Result action and seems it is not working as expected. And i also changed the default boost factor by following the below link

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wchelp/v7r0m0/topic/com.ibm.commerce.management-center_customization.doc/tasks/tsbsearchoverrideboost.htm

and still not getting the result as expected. Is there anything that needs to be enabled before creating a search rule?It would be great if someone could throw some light on this issue?

      Hai Raj,

Yes i have reindexed also found the solution. This action (Specify Top Search Result) will work only if the catalog entry is created through the catalog tool.If we have done dataload it might not work as per instructions given in publib. Now the question is, Is there any difference between catalog entries which are created through catlog tool and catalog entries which are created through dataload?
