Pinned topic User promts does not work in the Macro when testing the entire project

‏2013-01-17T21:58:21Z |
Hi All,

I have created a project for Logon Macro for a mainframe session. The macro goes through 3 screens before it gets to the ISPF panel.
1. Initial welcome Screen
2. EntryValidation (UserId & Password)
3. TSO Messages.
4. ISPF panel.

On the EntryValidation screen, I prompt for userId and Password.

When I test the macro within the *.hma file be connecting and playing the macro it works fine/successfully.

But when I right click on the project and run/debug. It connects and plays the macro without prompting for user promts. And gives me a time out error waiting to insert the values supplied by the user.

Do you know what could be my problem?

Thank you!

Just wanted to clarify, Macro is not working/cannot be played at runtime. (right click in Project view > Run/debug)

I am getting a time out error. But In debug mode I see that the cursor is waiting at the Validation screen to input the userid.

    Thank you!

Are you setting the global variables (which you're trying to use as prompts in a macro) and where?

    -Rafay

I was'nt; I was expecting it to prompt me for the input variables even in Run/Debug. Once I changed the prompt to get values from global variables and passed the values through Menu Manager, It worked.
