Pinned topic Change and Release object applet

‏2013-01-17T11:45:26Z |
Hi,

I used a customized IBM Tivoli Change Management 7.2.1.0, whenever I tried to use the Change & the Release object there is a message main content "Applet are loading" (please check the attched file) and it takes more than 5 mins to load and sometimes the whole PC get to stuck in.

I think it's something related to Java, so My questions are:

Can I disbale the applets? if yes please I need someone to guide me from where?
If it is related to Java, what is the correct version to us?

Need your help.

Thanks

Hi, are you able to use Change application before this? Will need to see trace from Java Console in order to confirm further. Check this out :-

Actually this is my first time to use this version 7.2 before I used 7.1 and as you know there is no applet in the old versions, so I was able to use the Change Application before but with the old version not with this one.

Java 1.6.0_26 was installed and everything was ok and the message comes for 2-3 seconds and disappeared, but the institution starts using more an dmore applications that need advance versions from Java so I start facing such a problem.

Hi, it seems that you hit the problem as per above technote. You may want to apply Interfim fix or Hotfix as suggested. Cheers.

You didn't mention are you using Java 1.6 or Java 1.7?

If you're having this problem with Java 1.6 > FP 29, search fixcentral for the latest IFix for CCMDB and install it following the Technote instructions.

If Java 1.7, then there's a separate known issue that is only fixed by upgrading to Java 1.7 FP 11.

            Thanks,
            Scott

Hi, just go to FixCentral and download IF (Interim Fix) for your CCMDB version level. Then, you can use latest JRE of 1.6 and 1.7. Remember, refrain from using JRE 1.7u9 as there is an issue with that.
