Pinned topic How to "remove" a stream in the middle of hierarchy?

‏2013-01-09T21:03:12Z |
Hi All

I kind of understand that we can't remove a stream in the middle of hierarchy in ClearCase UCM. I am asking what's the best way to achieve the same result.

e.g. currently we have this standard stream structure in a CCCQ UCM integrated system:

PRD
|__QEM
|__PAT
|__TST
|__DEV

QEM is for fire flight on PRD. Now we want to remove TST. The easiest way I am thinking is to rename and hide the current TST and DEV, then create a new DEV under PAT.

Thanks
Jirong

The diagram shows wrong. It's like this:

    PRD
    --|__QEM
    --|__PAT
    ------|__TST
    ----------|__DEV

Is there actually a way to "hide" a stream from the user so they can't see? I don't remember.

You can lock the stream with -obsolete option
