Pinned topic Oracle NUMBER mapping to db2luw(non-compatibility)

‏2013-01-09T06:09:40Z |
Hi,

IDMT map Oracle NUMBER to DB2 data type:
  • NUMBER(7) -> INTEGER
  • NUMBER(10) -> BIGINT
  • NUMBER(10,5) -> DECIMAL(10,5)

  • Oracle 9i to DB2 10.1 (db2luw: non-comaptibility)
  • oracleNumberMapping=false

My question is: Is there any mapping table for this case?

I found mapping for case:oracleNumberMapping=ture and datamap.properties setting. But there is no map from NUMBER to DECIMAL.

    Actually not. There is a logic in the code that has this mapping. It was derived based upon best practices of migration. May not be perfect but seems to work in majority of the cases.
