Tried downloading the CICS dev trail with download and receive at once
using the CBPDO and got below error with few mod's
Any suggestions are very welcome.

I tried changing the DSSPACE as recommended in program directory and still no luck.

Firefox seems to be the most reliable browser to download with, but it too sometimes has problems. I would suggest initially trying the download again.

I did a download RFNJOB using FTP and thsi worked when i retried.
This job pulled the CBPDO package from the IBM server to our mainframe.
