I use the WASdev for JEE App. In the Servers node "WebSphere Application Server v8.5", there is a "Administration" context menu item, by which one can invoke "Run Administrative Console" from there. After that, one can configure the JDBC connection pool there with the Admin Console. BUT how to configure the JDBC connection pool for "Web Preview Server" since there is no "Administration" context menu item for the node?

I do not think it is possible to configure that in the web preview server (maybe I'm wrong), but have you tried using Liberty instead of the Web Preview server? Here is a link explaining how to configure JDBC connectivity in liberty: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v8r5/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.websphere.wlp.nd.doc%2Fae%2Ftwlp_admin_ds.html
