Pinned topic How to Update Macro Variable

‏2013-01-03T02:39:27Z |
Hi All,

I have set the prompt in a macro variable named TX_Type, Macro Variable type is string.

Now this macro variable has got value " TD Place Transaction type" .

As because this value need to be compared with the extract "TD Place Transaction type" So before comparing I want to trim() the value of this variable TX_Type.

My Code line for trimming is: '$TX_Type$.trim()'
Seems this is not working for me.

Please let me know if anyone have the solution of this issue

Thanks

    Hi,

I think , while recording the macro and setting the prompt you have given the space , because of which it is showing space in front of variable value.
In case you have provided the space , please remove that , then this should work.

    HI Ranjin,

Actually I have not given space in prompt but user is adding leading space.

My Simple requirement is only to trim both user input and the extract from screen before comparing so that any leading are trailing space can be ignored.

    Thanks
