I'm planning the set-up for a new pair of Virtualised Servers using VMware with a V3700 for mass storage.
I want to use "this provisioning" for several of the virtual disks.
Is it better to use the V3700's implementation of This Provisioning, and make the Virtual Disks in VMware of a "fixed" size, or he other way around.
I can't see any advantage in having a thin provisioned virtual disk sitting on a thin provisioned V3700 container. So I guess it comes down to efficiency and resource utilisation, so how much does Thin Provisioning slot down a VMware virtual machine, or the V3700?
