Pinned topic Two different cubes created in Cognos TM1 into one single package

‏2012-12-29T16:02:12Z |
Hello Everyone

Is it possible to bring two different cubes created in Cognos TM1 into one single package and use it for reporting in Cognos 10? Is it possible to do it in Framework Manager? Can we also create relationships between the two different TM1 Cubes?

Regards
Saleel

    Hi
Yes it is possible to take more TM1 cubes and put them in the same FrameWork Manager package.
You can't do much with the TM1 cubes in FM besides publish them in packages, so it's not possible to set any kind of relations between them in Framework Manager.
You can in report studio create reports holding data from more than one tm1 cube (in the same package) You must set the relation ship in report studio between the cubes.
I have made some reports where I use union between the 2 tm1 cubes to get the data look like the are from the same cube.

Another solution and best practices is to create a reporting cube in tm1 with the data you need. That will also make reporting a lot easier.
