Pinned topic Getting list of object cache instances

‏2012-12-27T22:12:31Z |
I am trying to use java API to get list of object cache instances.
If I use DynaCache MBean I do get a list of caches but those don't include object caches.

Any idea how to get list of object cache instances?

    Hi,

There is a difference between the DynaCache and Object Cache. You can use the DistributedObjectCache to access the cache itself and then get the keys in a Set and then get the values for each key.

Thanks for the response Brian. Funny that all the time I have been referring to it as a type of Dyna Cache.

I am able to use the object cache to add and retrieve objects without any issue.
However, I want to be able to get a list of object cache instances (not the individual objects within a specific cache instance) that are configured on the WAS. Is there any API call to get that?
