I am trying to install Express-C 10.1 on my Mac (10.8.2), but failed.
What I did -
1. Enable root account
2. su root
3. execute dbsetup
but the pop-up window is blank.
Can anybody share experience how to install DB2 on Mac?

Re: Does anybody install Express-C 10.1 successfully on Mac OS X 10.8.2?2012-12-23T19:43:07Z in response to SystemAdminYes, but I was in the same boat as you (db2setup didn't work). I ended up doing an admin manual install with db2_install, then db2icrt and sourcing of the db2profile (see: db2exc_guide_952_MAC_x86_64-1.pdf)
I did not manually setup any bufferpools so I cheated with DB2_OVERRIDE_BPF=10000. This got me past some other issues I was having.
I then used the 10.1 AUTOCONFIGURE command on my 3 DBs, ran the DDL, loaded the data. Changed some params on AUTOCONFIGURE, ran it again. Set (INSTANCE_MEMORY) = 1048576 & DATABASE_MEMORY AUTOMATIC. Seems to be fine now.
But I do have a couple Warnings in my db2diag.log that I don't care for and will post another thread.
