Since upgrading to windows 7 when I click on a batch file in ClearCase Explore and select open with (so I can edit it instead of run it) the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" check box is checked and grayed out so I can't unchecked it. A few times now I've forgotten and screwed up my ability to run batch files. Anybody have an idea how to enable the check box or make it so it isn't checked by default.
P.S. If you've already made the mistake of selecting your favorite text editor and hitting OK you can restore your ability to run batch files by deleting the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.bat\UserChoice"
