Pinned topic Any option not to use SYSPROC.ADMIN_CMD in generated command

‏2012-12-18T19:50:53Z |
Hi,
When DS Change plan generate deployment scripts, DB2 CLP commands such as EXPORT, RUNSTATS, REORG are being executed via CALL SYSPROC.ADMIN_CMD.

Is there a way to generate the CLP command as is, i.e. 'EXPORT TO ... MESSAGES .... SELECT ... FROM ...' without calling this stored procedure?
Thanks

    Hi Jie Wu,

There is an Edit button within the Command section. You can select it, and this will copy over the commands into the SQL Editor. Once in the SQL Editor, you can modify the command and run with the CLP execution method.

The SQL Editor is also the place where you can schedule your script for execution within the Data Studio Web Console so this is a good tip to know.

    Let me know,

    Hi,
Thank you for the response. Instead of manually editing, is there a way to make it GENERATED with the simple CLP statement without SYSPROC.ADMIN_CMD?

    Thank you

      Hi Jie Wu,

We do not have a way to configure this. Thank you for the feedback.
