Pinned topic DP can't find SSL Proxy Profile when using Basic-Auth from User Agent

‏2012-12-11T20:17:03Z |
I've got a WSP with a back end to "www.xxx.com:443/service". The client simply requires basic auth for this service, so I setup a custom XML Manager/User-Agent and hard-coded their username/password in the user agent's basic auth settings.

When we send a message through the WSP, it fails to make the back side connection stating it cannot find an SSL proxy profile.

If making a simple Basic-Auth call out with username/password, do I also need the client's cert and a forward SSL proxy?

Do I set that up via the SSL Proxy Profile of the Web Service Proxy settings, or via the SSL Proxy Profile in the User Agent?

Is it always the same backend? then put it on the WSP.

OK... got it. Maybe I should have asked... it is possible to setup simple ssl negotiation within DataPower without having the client's cert pre-loaded into the box?

No, DataPower really wants that cert in the SSL proxy...whether it's a client (reverse) or server (forward)

yes,you should need certificate for SSL proxy, user agent does not work in your case .
