Pinned topic New Cordova version in WL 5.0.5

‏2012-12-08T22:02:51Z |
Development Environment:
Mac, Eclipse Java EE Indigo
WorklightStudioPlugin - 5.0.2.407-developer-edition

Server
WL 5.0.0.3

I downloaded the WL update yesterday. I re-built an existing project. I also created a new iPad environment.

However, in the iOS iPad and iPhone environments under myApp/ipad or iphone/native/Cordova.framework/VERSION it still lists 1.6.1. It was my understanding that WL 5.0.5 had upgraded to v2.2.0.

Do I need to create a brand new project for this? Do I need to use IBM WL Enterprise 5.0.5 Eclipse update for IBM WL Studio Multiplatform instead of just the developer edition.

I am planning to upgrade the server to WL 5.0.5 this weekend, but I assumed that Cordova resided in the device.

Thanks,
Ralph Pina

I have similar issue. After update is done. The Worklight version still shows 5.0.2.407-developer-edition. In plugin details, the server is still shown as 5.0.2.407. Also the project has nothing updated. Still JQuery 1.6.4 and Cordova 1.6.1. Nothing upgraded. Even create a brand new project and all these are old as well. Is there any guidelines for upgrade from 5.0.2.407 to 5.0.5 on development project side as well as server side?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

You are (unfortunately) correct. It appears upgrading - via the Eclipse Marketplace - does not fully upgrade existing Worklight v5.0.0.3 (5.0.2.407) installations.
While this is being looked at, my not-so-nice alternative would be to install on a fresh Eclipse followed by importing your project. This should then work (upgrading, etc...)

    Um... no, I did not.

I did download a new Eclipse Indigo, installed WL 5.0.5, and imported a project from the previous workspace. It seemed to upgrade the project without an issue.

I will take a look at the .ini tomorrow, and see if I can get my other version of Eclipse going.

I doubt the .ini changes will make a difference, but I can be wrong. :)
Something else botches the upgrade. We have a defect open. Sorry for that.

    Hi Idan

Yes, I followed all steps of update instructions and tried in Windows, Linux and Mac. I got same result. It looks like just part of things updated and the project is not upgraded.
