Pinned topic Anyone using the IBM Storage Management Console for vCenter?

‏2012-12-05T08:59:28Z |
Hi,

I've installed the SMC for vCenter according to the installation manual, but when I try to configure it in vCenter I get an HTTP warning about the certificate. It is clearly the IE warning page, 'cause I can choose 'Continue to this site' or 'Close'.
Problem is, if I click 'Continue' nothing happens! So I can't configure or use the SMC at all :(

Anyone else having this problem? I checked the manual, and it only states that you can get a 'Page cannot be displayed' error, if your proxy or DNS settings are wrong, but this is not the case.

Any help is much appreciated.

/Rasmus

Thanks for the info, but this version is even worse :-/

It installs fine but when running the configuration wizard I get the error: 1053 at the end, when it tries to start the service. I can't start the service through Windows either.

When checking the Windows Event Log there's this error:

have you own defined the ssl certification path? If so, then installing the new version can't find the original path.
And if you think this is a serious problem blocks your work. Pls contact support to open a PMR.
            Thanks!
