Pinned topic HTTP Frontside Handler reuse across MPGW in same Domain

‏2012-12-04T23:33:46Z |
It seems I can no longer leverage the same HTTP FSH across different MPGW in the same domain. Is this a recent change in v5 of firmware? It seems we use to be able to do this...am I missing something?

Multi-Protocol Gateway status: down - Failed to install on port

This message indicates the failure to install a service on the configured local network port. The op-state of the service is down and it is not accepting new connections. The most likely cause is either an invalid local address, invalid host alias or due to a conflict with another service already installed on the configured network port. Verify that the service is installed on an unused network port. Verify that the local address is configured and/or the Host Alias exists and its op-state is up.

Maybe its only reuse across WSP...and not allowed in MPGW...

that's it -- reuse of FSHs is only possible in WSPs.

Reusing FSHs for MPGWs will get the quickest MPGW in upstate, all others will be down.
And after domain restart even the outcome (which MPGW will be up) may be different.
