Pinned topic Web API WSDl error

‏2012-11-30T10:43:34Z |
Hi,

I get the following error when I discover WSDL URI through Web Integeration service.

Encountered an error while trying to discover services at "http://<Hostname>:<Port>/webapi/services/WebAPIService?wsdl". Please check the WSDL to make sure it is valid.

Am able to view the WSDL but not able to discover in Lombardi v 7.1. Any one knows how to resolve it.

Thanks,
Raghu

It is possible that the WSDL being returned isn't able to be used with that version of the product. If you are able, consider posting a copy of the WSDL as an attachment to this thread and we might be able to try and see what might be the core problem.

Hi there, the WSDL file you posted appears to be a screen save of an Internet Explorer visualization of an XML document :-)

It contains "-" characters for indents.

Of course, if this is REALLY the WSDL .... then there is your problem.

        :-)

The WS stack has undergone major revisions since 7.1. Prior to 7.5/8.0 the WS stack in Standard was pretty weak. If the WS Widget in the Integration Service does not work, try using the "Call Web Service with SOAP Envelople" service in the System Data Toolkit. If you need help figuring out how to use this, take a look at SOAP UI, or read this article in the wiki -

I only just realized you are attempting to call the BPM WS API. I think 7.1 did have a problem doing that, but that this was not fixed because the majority of items available to the WS API are also available in the JS API. What were you attempting in the WS API, we might be able to point you in the right direction.
