I'm good with syslog and even syslog NG.
But I've to work on the NFS ... so little nervous with NFS file mounts ...how safe is this ? are there any issues ?
I also see that in archive mode no.of rotations is 3 which is default which can vary by 1 through 100
with size 500 KB by default(100 through 50000 KB ).
1) Can the files be rotated once per day instead ?
Since we can increase the SAN and get that file size as big as we can to achieve this ... because do not want multile files and want to rotate it once per day... can this be doable ?
2) If yes can some one share the setting on the server that needs to be made ?

Time-based rotation is not currently an option. For fewer files, you would have to increase the file size. Rotation is a client-side operation for us so I don't think you'll find a serverside parameter that will be too helpful.
I think your best bet is to go with some syslog udp/tcp unless you have a serverside script you can run periodically to consolidate your rotated files during the day.
