Pinned topic Form-based login -Turning on Global Securty throwing WSlogin Exception

‏2012-11-25T21:37:02Z |
Hi,
I am trying to implement form-based login using Ldap registery.
Now after configuring web.xml and application.xml to implement form-based login I deployed the application and turned on the Global Secuting and application security. I also set the ldap regisetry and test it.
When I re-started the WAS I saw Exception in WSLogin as below:

    Hi,

The problem indicates that there is a remote RMI call being made into this server and it fails when trying the authenticate using tokens sent in that request. Is this a Network Deployment setup? Any other server trying to communicate with this? We would need more data on the scenario to analyze this more. If this problem persits, you might want to open a problem report (PMR) for the service team to investigate.

Also, since this is related to the full profile application server, the correct place to post this is the full profile application server newsgroup

As I said in my previous post that if I just enable global security without deploying any application and start the local server it throws those exception.
This is not ND environment. This is installed on my laptop and everything is local like RAD etc.
    Thank you

A typical standalone server bringup should not see any RMI receive_request calls so there must be something else in the setup that might be causing this to go through this code path. Do you have any other servers where this is not an issue and if so, any differences in the setup? If not, you can open a service request to have us look into this more.

    Hi,

It appears you use the full WebSphere Application Server and as "This forum is for the WASdev community members to interact with each other and with the WAS development staff on questions and issues related to the WASdev community (wasdev.net)." you may consider posting the question to the WebSphere Application Server forum instead.
