Pinned topic Unable to instal Dump Analyzer

‏2012-11-24T19:05:20Z |
Hi,

I'm trying to install Dump Analyzer, but it fails. I tried fresh ISA instal, but it didn't help.

There were problems installing add-ons into your workbench : IBM Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools for Java - Dump Analyzer (2.2.2.20120531091905) requires feature "com.ibm.dtfj.feature (1.10.0)", or later version.

DTFJ was installed automatically as part of the process :(

I somehow managed to install it. I did several reinstalls, even in clean VM image. Last step was to download complete ISA update site and install updates from there.

So there might be something wrong in dependencies in current ISA update site, but I'm not sure. During experiments I installed dtfj plugins and feature from separate update site and afterwards I was able to enable Dump Analyzer in plugins list. But it didn't show up in Tools catalog anyway.

It looks like there may have been an issue on the updatesite. We have psoted a new version of DTFJ feature today and it installs fine in our tests.

    Same here,
Primary problem for me appeared to be a problem to install 'Diagnostic Tool Framework for Java' with the effect that some of the tools are not installing or cannot be enabled .
The only way I found that was working for me :
    a) complete uninstall ( run the installer and when prompted select to remove user data )
    b) download update site ( https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/reg/download.do?source=isa&S_PKG=isa41updatesite&lang=en_US&cp=UTF-8 )
    c) re-install and when prompted to configure updater preferences, select the downloaded update site as only location .

The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the positions, strategies, or opinions of IBM .
